Are Dermal Fillers safe?

Dermal fillers are composed of synthetically made hyaluronic acid, this is present in the human body however the volume of this depletes over time.
Are there any side effects?
Bruising and swelling can occur after having dermal fillers however this will resolve within 7 days, generally there is little to no downtime following treatment.
How long will fillers last?
Dermal fillers will last from 6-18 months depending on the area treated. The filler is broken down and gradually reabsorbed by the body, therefore treatments must be repeated to maintain the desired effect.
