Microneedling Treatment in Glasgow

Dermapen™ micro-needling is a revolutionary skin rejuvenating treatment which stimulates collagen and elastin production. Visibly reduce the signs of ageing, acne and scarring with this incredible skin needling treatment.

This treatment works by using a series of tiny needles to penetrate the skin up to 2mm deep. These punctures encourage the body to produce new elastin and collagen fibres to thicken and plump the skin, minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What Conditions does micro-needling help?

Acne scarring
Surgical scarring
Lacklustre skin
Skin texture
Enlarged pores
Uneven skin tone
Pigmentation & Sun damage
Stretch marks
Keloid scarring

What can I expect during my Dermapen™ treatment?

Before your treatment your skin is cleaned and an anaesthetic cream is applied to minimise discomfort. The Dermapen™ is sterilized and glided over the skin, creating micro-channels to aid the absorption of hyaluronic acid and vitamin serums used throughout the treatment. The Dermapen™ device has multiple speed settings and adjustable needle depth, so every area of your skin will benefit from this treatment. Following the treatment a soothing vitamin rich gel is applied along with a hydration mask to heal, hydrate and protect the skin.  It is common to experience mild redness for 24-48 hours post treatment.

How quickly will I see results from the Dermapen treatment?

You should start to see some improvements in your skin after around a week, however it takes a few months to see the full benefits from this treatment, so your skin will keep looking better and better!

How often will the treatment need to be repeated?

Micro-needling treatments can be done safely every 4-6 weeks. It is recommended that you have 3-5 sessions to see the best results. Different factors will affect the number of treatments necessary, including how each individual reacts to treatment and the degree of damage at the outset.
