What can I expect during my Dermapen™ treatment?
Before your treatment your skin is cleaned and an anaesthetic cream is applied to minimise discomfort. The Dermapen™ is sterilized and glided over the skin, creating micro-channels to aid the absorption of hyaluronic acid and vitamin serums used throughout the treatment. The Dermapen™ device has multiple speed settings and adjustable needle depth, so every area of your skin will benefit from this treatment. Following the treatment a soothing vitamin rich gel is applied along with a hydration mask to heal, hydrate and protect the skin. It is common to experience mild redness for 24-48 hours post treatment.
How quickly will I see results from the Dermapen treatment?
You should start to see some improvements in your skin after around a week, however it takes a few months to see the full benefits from this treatment, so your skin will keep looking better and better!
How often will the treatment need to be repeated?
Micro-needling treatments can be done safely every 4-6 weeks. It is recommended that you have 3-5 sessions to see the best results. Different factors will affect the number of treatments necessary, including how each individual reacts to treatment and the degree of damage at the outset.
