Açai Bowl
Açai, (pronounced aa·saa·ee) is a small round purple-coloured berry that grows in the rainforest of the Amazon and is known as a superfruit for its incredible benefits. Açai berries are loaded with antioxidants, can help with digestion, and heart health and act as an immune booster.

Ingredients
Açai: 1 pack of frozen açai or 2tsp of açai powder. You can use frozen açai or powdered açai for the bowls. We find it easier to use powder (easier to store and faster to add to your mix). Shop our favourite powder here.
Banana: 1 large frozen banana cut into pieces. Cutting the banana and then freezing it will help it blend more easily and it’s ready for whenever you feel like making an açai bowl.
Berries: 1 cup of berries (you can use any berries you like!) We love using a mix of frozen raspberries and blueberries for this bowl.
Almond butter: 1 tbsp of peanut butter to add a bit of creaminess and richness to the açai bowl.
Almond milk: 1/4 cup – just a splash. You can use any plant-based milk or coconut water here.

Method
Blend all the ingredients in a high-speed blender. If using a blender, use the tamper (the black stick that can be placed in the centre of the blender) and push the frozen fruit into the blades to help it blend. This will result in a thick and icy consistency, not too smooth!
Scoop into a bowl, add your toppings of choice and serve immediately to enjoy the icy texture!
Enjoy for breakfast, dessert or as a sweet treat!
